Meike is a marine data expert and project manager, specialised in workflow optimisation, open-source databases, interpretation of complex data sets, and communication. She strives to get the best out of available data and resources. Her activities support meaningful, customised big data interpretation by developing and implementing digital tools, iterative workflows and interdisciplinary collaboration. Meike is a lecturer for Marine Geomorphology and Geology in the hydrography masters programme at the HafenCity University Hamburg, Germany. She holds a doctoral degree in Geosciences, obtained at the Kiel University and the GEOMAR - Helmholtz Center for Ocean Research Kiel, Germany, where she participated in a numerous research cruises as an hydrographic expert and marine geologist. Her research interests included seafloor mapping, marine mineral resources, and machine learning to foster sustainable use of the global ocean.
