Dr Adrian J Neumann is a multi-facetted professional with a diverse background in marketing, communications, and policy making. Adrian first joined north.io in 2020 as Project Director to help put the global challenge of sea dumped munitions on the political agenda in Berlin and Brussels. Following the successful completion of this project, Adrian's responsibilities expanded when he took on the role of CMO and also took on communications for the €15m flagship project Marispace-X, a major catalyst for offshore renewables and the blue data economy as a whole. Prior to this, Adrian spent several years at a think tank where he conducted doctoral research on terrorism and national resilience and established a high-level international stakeholder dialogue with government, academia and industry on maritime security issues that continues to have lasting impact and relevance today. His marketing and communications skills were previously honed through several years working in marketing and sales for blue chip companies in the FMCG and engineering sectors and are underpinned by an MSc in Strategic Marketing from Cranfield School of Management in the UK and a BA in Business from the Berlin School of Economics. Combined with his PhD in Political Science from Kiel University, Adrian's diverse background gives him a unique perspective and skill set that he brings to his current role.
