INTERGEO 2023 focuses on maritime topics for the first time - Jann Wendt invited as expert

Kiel/Berlin, 26.09.2023. The INTERGEO Expo and Conference, which will take place from 10 to 12 October in Berlin, has established itself in recent years as a central platform for the exchange of knowledge, ideas and innovations in the field of geodesy, geoinformation and geotechnology worldwide. INTERGEO is the world's leading conference and expo for a geo-digitised world and brings together market leaders with decision-makers.

This year, for the first time, the event will also focus on the maritime dimension and emphasise the importance of geographic information for maritime applications and sustainability.

Jann Wendt, CEO of cloud geo-specialist north.io from Kiel, will play a role as an expert in geodata analysis at various sessions at INTERGEO this year. With years of experience in the application of geodata analysis and technology in the maritime environment, he will participate as an expert in events and lectures. In his presentations and in panel discussions he will provide insights into the latest developments and innovations in maritime geospatial data, highlighting its importance for the environment, trade and maritime safety.

"The integration of geospatial data and geospatial information into maritime applications plays a crucial role in addressing the challenges facing our oceans,"

said Jann Wendt ahead of INTERGEO 2023.

"I look forward to sharing our knowledge and experience at this important event with other renowned experts, such as Dieter Janecek, the German government's maritime coordinator, and Martin Visbeck from GEOMAR Helmholtz-Centre for Ocean Kiel, and to working together on solutions that promote the sustainable use of our maritime resources."

Wendt's participation in INTERGEO 2023 contributes to the further development of spatial data applications in the maritime sector. His expertise and north.io's innovative approaches can help drive the future of maritime geospatial information.

Join us at INTERGEO 2023 in Berlin to meet Wendt and other leading experts in the geoinformation industry and learn more about the exciting developments in maritime geospatial data.

If you don't want to wait any longer, we recommend the INTERGEO Expert Talk - "Maritime Solutions" where Thomas Dehling  (Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency) and Jann Wendt (north.io)  take a deep dive into Maritime Solutions, emphasizing the importance of our oceans and marine conservation.
